We believe that farm-raised Oklahoma beef is the best. Our family has been farming and ranching in Oklahoma for over 120 years and we have never imported foreign cattle into our herd. Our cow/calf operation has always relied on purchasing stock from local farmers/neighbors to keep our herd clean. We also believe that God gave us everything we need in the land to raise wholesome and healthy livestock so we never give hormones, steroids, implants, or antibiotics (with the exception of an occasional sick calf, which is tagged and culled from the herd).
We plant our own feed for hay, and do not use herbicides or pesticides so the finished beef remains as natural as possible. Our beef is high quality grass raised and grain finished, meaning that the calves will free-range on grass or other forages from the time they are born until they reach the age (18-24 mos) to butcher at which time we put them in our own lot where we feed them out for 90 - 120 days. We use a custom blend of feed which provides the best flavor, tenderness, and marbling, and is non-medicated. (Click HERE for our blend and ratios.) During the feed out process, the calves have full access to high quality hay for roughage and gut health as well as a roomy lot with grass and plenty of fresh water for optimum quality meat. Our beef never goes to a traditional feed lot.
We started selling beef by the shares about 15 years ago to church friends and family and only recently, after having so many people continually ask, we decided to open up for public farm to table sales.
Purchasing beef is an investment. We offer our beef by the whole, half, or quarter. By purchasing beef in this manner, you receive multiple cuts/selections in one order, offering a greater savings, higher quality, as well as the convenience of having healthy and delicious beef available in your home for you and your family. Again, our beef is always grass-fed and grain finished for premium flavor and tenderness.
For many people, purchasing even a quarter of beef is a huge amount of money to spend all at once on meat. We understand that and have a payment plan available for those who want to invest in good quality Oklahoma beef. Another option is to find a friend and split it so you both receive 1/8th of a beef. That would cut the cost in half and you wouldn't have to worry about freezer space.
